AN IRISH TIMES BOOK OF THE YEAR 2023_______________'A blade-sharp coming-of-age novel' SPECTATOR'Confirms Flattery as a bracingly original writer' IRISH INDEPENDENT'In enviably elegant prose, she manages to be both arch and deadly serious' LOUISE KENNEDY_______________A wildly original debut novel about two young women navigating the complex worlds of Andy Warhol's Factory, and coming of age in 1960s New YorkNew York City, 1966. Seventeen-year-old Mae lives in a run-down apartment with her alcoholic mother and her mother's sometimes-boyfriend, Mikey. She is turned off by the petty girls at her high school, and the sleazy men she typically meets. When she drops out, she is presented with a job offer that will remake her world entirely: she is hired as a typist for the artist Andy Warhol. Warhol is composing an unconventional novel by recording the conversations and experiences of his many famous and alluring friends. Tasked with transcribing these tapes alongside several other girls, Mae quickly befriends Shelley and the two of them embark on a surreal adventure at the fringes of the countercultural movement. Going to parties together, exploring their womanhood and sexuality, this should be the most enlivening experience of Mae's life. But as she grows increasingly obsessed with the tapes and numb to her own reality, Mae must grapple with the thin line between art and voyeurism and determine how she can remain her own person as the tide of the sixties sweeps over her. Nothing Special is a whip-smart coming-of-age story about friendship, independence and the construction of art and identity, bringing to life the experience of young women in this iconic and turbulent moment. _______________PRAISE FOR SHOW THEM A GOOD TIME:'A masterclass . . . Excellent separation screen
Color: Dark Black
Easy to put together. A drill with the hex head made it easier. I see some of the photos in the reviews and it looks like the fabric is wrinkled and loose. However, when we put it together, the fabric was tight and it looked polished. Using this divider to separate a recording space from the rest of the room the overall look is nice. I would not use this in a living room, but it’s fine in another room. Once put together, it is pretty sturdy. The pieces that connect the panels together are plastic. We did fold it one time when we moved it and didn’t have any issues, but it is going to remain stationary so I can’t comment on folding it more than the one time. It is very lightweight and very opaque.

JUNK!
Color: Grey
This is the worst product in every way. I ordered a similar one previously and thought I was getting the same product which was great, no this is a piece of junk. I would have gladly sent it back but I needed it. I feel sorry for anyone who tries to put this together without any mechanical ability. I have plenty and it was still a nightmare. We will surely not be purchasing anything from this company in the future. The previous one I bought was a (Kecreque Room Divider). Is is a quality product!

Nice looking and lightweight
I bought this to put in front of my basement doorway where I am missing a door. I don't like my cats in the basement and this works very well. However, because of the panels being up on 2 inch or so tiny stilts, my cats can still get through. So I have it upside down and will be putting gliders on the "bottom" of each panel. Note that it did come with gliders on the little stilts.
